Overview

During Family Weekend, experience Harvard College through the eyes of your student. Participate in courses and engage in discussions with faculty, meet other families, receive valuable information and helpful resources for the student experience, and learn about all that Harvard has to offer. We are excited to welcome families of Class of 2030 and Class of 2028 to Cambridge, MA for Family Weekend. This year, Family Weekend will take place from October 22-October 25, 2026!

Local hotels that are offering special discounts for Family Weekend 2026 will be posted below later this summer! 

Parking and Transportation

Parking is free at the 52 Oxford Street Garage for those driving to campus. This garage is open from 1:30pm on Thursday, October 22 to 4:00pm on Sunday, October 25 and includes overnight parking. Upon arriving at the garage, notify the attendant that you are attending Family Weekend in order to access the facility.

Families and friends can also utilize Harvard’s free shuttles! The routes go around campus, to the Quad, and the athletic complex in Allston. View the shuttle schedule and routes to learn more and plan your trip!

Outings and Innings

Outings & Innings is an internal Harvard service available to students that offers a variety of passes and tickets for purchase to local museums, movie theatres, seasonal attractions, and date-specific events at a discount. From the Duck Tour to the New England Aquarium, O&I has curated a list of offerings to the city’s most popular destinations all in one easy to peruse location, and the best part is that the student can purchase for family and friends! If you and your family are looking for something to do locally during Family Weekend, have your student sign up for an O&I account today and take advantage of this service. The student will visit outingsandinnings.harvard.edu and create an account using their HarvardKey login, and from there they will be able to browse, purchase, and have the passes mailed directly to them. Orders are mailed out once weekly on Tuesdays, so we recommend planning ahead and purchasing now so you’re ready for Family Weekend!
